Light Lies 2003
On two sides of an oblique blackened glass, English and Maori texts interface. On the verso, the text: 'Light lies at the end of a long dark hall' seeps through the expanded definition of 'Kaitiaki' taken from the Ngata dictionary: 'I utua e raua he kaitiaki hai tiaki i a raua nga tamariki', translated in English: 'They hired a babysitter to take care of their children.'
