Six Days 2008
Six Days is a dormant painting in canvas and couchgrass - a hardy, drought tolerant grass growing wild on roadsides in the South Island, NZ. The title refers to the biblical Old Testament six days of creation, McCahon's painting Six Days in Nelson and Canterbury 1950, and the 6 long days taken to hand-stitch the lawn to the canvas. Neither dead nor alive, Six Days remains open to the potential of being revived.
