Series: Still Painting

A suite of word paintings investigating the minimalism of language, and connections between the ephemeral and the audible.  Scratched into painted walls and brushed onto glass with medium emulsion, emphasis shifts with plays of light and pronunciation. 'More' in Maori, meaning bare and plain, stands in stark contrast to the English 'more' meaning extra, additional - a contemporary metaphor for excess; while in French, 'more' is the pronunciation of 'amore' - love.
