8 June 2024. At NorthArt Gallery in 'Abstraxt Abstraxt', New Zealand's first survey exhibition of abstract art by Aotearoa NZ women artists, Gill Gatfield presents a trio of new glass and stone sculptures – Narcissus, Echo and Symposium. In the public program, supported by Chartwell Trust, Gatfield shares her research and process, where ephemeral forms reprise mythological and classical bodies in futurist reshapings of love psychologies and agentic AI. Abstraxt Abstraxt is on view in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland May 7th to July 6th 2024.
