A tryptych of glass and stone figures, Narcissus, Echo and Symposium investigate classical, mythological, and feminist bodies and philosophies through embodied texts and translucent forms. Each emotive and self-contained figure is untouchable yet seductive, beckoning viewers through a mix of mysticism, love psychologies, and AI-resonance. Staged in a triangular composition, the sculptures develop a visual and sensual dialogue that reframes a divided Self in a composite existence, bound to a distant Other. The trio occupied the interior and exterior of a corner gallery space in New Zealand's first survey show of contemporary abstraction by Aotearoa New Zealand women artists at NorthART Gallery, curated by director Jessica Pearless, and supported by Chartwell Trust.
